1915 BLUEBIRD 1 cent COIN OP GUMBALL CANDY VENDING MACHINE w GLOBE vtg antique

This is one of the earlier Bluebird machines, dating to circa 1915. It measures 17" tall, and the glass globe is approximately 8" in diameter. This still has the original glass globe with the Bluebird decal on it, which is quite rare. It also has the mounting bracket on the bottom, so that it could be mounted to a base.

The machine is all original, except for the gold attachment nut on the bottom. There are no chips or cracks to the glass, but there are some scratches, primarily just below the bluebird decal. These are on the outside of the glass. The vending machine does work, but not perfectly. It's a little hard to get the penny to drop into the slot.

When it does drop in the handle slides about an inch and then you have to jiggle the handle a few times for it to fully open. It does work and the trap door on the bottom does slide open, it just doesn't work real smoothly. It may need some lubrication or something that's beyond my abilities.

But again, it does work. If you collect coin-op, gumball or vintage vending machines, you may want to consider this circa 1915 Bluebird vending machine. It's complete and has the bluebird decal. It needs a little work to get it to function smoothly, but overall it's still in very nice condition.
