It currently has a newer style Mars brand coin mechanism. Overall, I would say the machine is in really good shape. I currently keep beer bottles in it in my garage, and they are very cold.
It was originally kept in an office environment. There are a few dings and blemishes in the paint, but please look at the pictures for a better idea of the condition. The paint is pretty worn on the corners of the machine, but I would consider it more wear and tear than anything. There is a rust spot on the lower left side of the machine (see picture). The chrome slot where the drinks are vended has a crack where the metal was originally put together, and I epoxied it to keep it from spreading (see picture).
The C on the Cavalier emblem is missing (see picture). There is some slight surface rust located on different parts of the machine, but again, I feel like this is primarily wear and tear. I feel like this machine is in incredible condition considering it is 55 years old. I personally would not do anything to the machine, but plug it up and enjoy it.
