Pick-Up Only / NEW YORK CITY, NY / ANTIQUE-VINTAGE CANDY/GUM; VENDING MACHINE SUBWAY TRAIN TRANSIT TRANSIT AUTHORITY? As a kid growing up in NYC frequenting the subway as a means of travel, I was often fascinated with the stations Teal Blue Green colored candy/gum machines, which mostly dispensed stale candy, if you were lucky. For years I wanted one of those subway stations old candy machines but was doubtful that I would ever find where to attain one. Well one day about 20 years ago I discovered this machine in a NYC antique store.

Without my asking, the salesman stated that it was an old, actual subway station candy machine. Now needing the space at home, I sadly made the decision to part with this relic. Please research if deemed necessary and determine for yourself.

This is a very nice machine, especially personal and expressive if you are loading up the display compartment with the candy, gum, and/or Pez which remind you of yesteryear. The dimensions are approximately 72"H x 29"W x 14D. This 1940's-1950's vending machine has its original blue green paint with well worn out areas which include tarnish and some rust...

Its parts most exceptional highlights include; unbroken glass mirror, unbroken glass 8 candy selection window, 8 in tact orange Bakelite candy selection pull knobs and more. The lock on the left side of the machine has been drilled out and removed so that the machine may be opened without a key or tools. Similarly the key cylinder on the storage compartments removable decorative panel door located on the lower front portion of the machine had been drilled, so it just uses a screwdriver or almost any flat key to open it. I have never reset and filled the machine with candy, so I cannot confirm its completeness or proper operation. If desired the machine may be separated from the storage compartment base for ease of transporting. Please view the photos carefully before purchasing.
