Vintage Antique Master Penny Drop Gumball Peanut Vending Machine

Antique "MASTER" DROP PENNY OR NICKEL gumball Machine. White paint looks to be the original color as I do not see any other colors coming through the paint. It looks like someone attempted to "touch" it up years ago as there is some over spray, see pictures. The knob turns and the inside turns with it.

I could not get a penny or nickel to drop, there could be something blocking it. The glass is fine no cracks or chips. The only identification numbers I can find are inside the container itself " PAT1839697" (I believe that is correct) and on the front left just above PATENTED there looks to be X 18943, IT IS VERY FAINT. I do not have a key and the top lock is missing as Pictured. Pistures are part of the description please look.
