The half dollar sometimes get stuck in the chute but ejects when the knob is partially rotated. If you do not rotate the knob fast enough the quarter that is supposed to dispense does it get caught underneath the mechanism that pushes the change out.

However, when twisted fast enough I did have great success and having the change dispense correctly. When the quarter did get stuck I had to unscrew the four bolts that held down the mechanism to dislodge it.

I do not have a key for it so I did tape the locking mechanism to the inside of the cover so it wont lock accidentally. A locksmith should have no problem figuring out the pin set to be able to make a replacement key. If you have any questions after review of the photos, please feel free to reach out to me.
