Vintage 1940s US Postage Stamp Vending Machine with Replacement Lock

Measures 14" x 8" x 5.5. Hanging holes on the back plate for wall mounting. The stamps inside the display are 1940s 1- 2- and 3-cent stamps.

I'm not familiar with this machine and can't find another like it online. I'm not sure if it was contemporaneous with the stamps or if it is a newer model and the previous owner put older stamps inside.
