In Working Order (no key). This is a lovely relic with a 1923 patent date. It contains 5 original boxes of Stanback Powders (an analgesic) with expiration dates in early 1987.

The boxes are a bit toned/darkened with age, but they still have their product inside. The machine also contained a few dimes, with the latest one dated 1983.

All things considered, the machine was obviously in service until sometime in 1985 or 1986. When you insert the Stanback boxes correctly and spin a dime in the slot, it dispenses the product as designed. It definitely requires an A-5 Harmon/Amco key for the lock that holds it to the wall (which is NOT locked), and I believe an A-4 Harmon/Amco key for the coin box (which IS currently locked) -- though the A-5 might work for that as well.

So, you're getting the vending machine, the 5 boxes of original product (expiration 1987), the 1980s dimes that came with it, and a single surviving old screw that was kicking around inside--which is one of the screws that held it to the wall. Dimensions: 33½" tall x 4½" wide x 6½ deep. A rare survivor of the Harmon vending machine series! Most of the ones that come up for sale are from condoms or kotex. Lovely, well-preserved WORKING vintage condition, f rom a non-smoking environment. Some oxidation bleed-through where the original paint has been scratched; graphics in lovely condition. Someone painted "25" on the front of the machine--which makes no sense, since it is a 10¢ vending machine and the slot definitely does not accept quarters. In any case there is evidence that someone tried to scratch off the "25" wasn't me! It can quite likely be removed with patience and using a tool that will not further scratch the finish. I'll leave that decision to you. The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
